As an independent English-language publisher based in Kolkata, we publish work that speaks across borders while remaining rooted in authentic voices. We believe that remarkable writing can come from anywhere, and we welcome submissions from both debut and established authors around the world.
We are not looking for books that follow trends. We are looking for books that create their own.

At present, we are not considering poetry collections, children’s picture books, plays, screenplays, academic theses or dissertations.
What to Send
Rather than sending a complete manuscript in the first instance, please send:
- A synopsis of your book (500–1,000 words)
- The first three chapters (or approximately 10,000 words)
- A brief author biography
- A table of contents or chapter outline, where appropriate
In the body of your email, please include:
- Your full name
- Manuscript title
- Genre
- Estimated word count
- Email address
- Contact number

Our Editorial Process
Every submission is read by a member of our editorial team.
If your work feels right for our publishing programme, we will be in touch to request the complete manuscript or discuss the next stage of consideration.
Response Time
Please allow up to 30 days for us to consider your submission.
If you have not heard from us within this period, you should assume that we are unable to pursue your project further.
Rights & Submission Policy
Please submit only work that is original and for which you hold the necessary publishing rights.
Simultaneous submissions are welcome. If your manuscript is accepted by another publisher while under consideration, we would appreciate being informed.
Submitted materials are not returned. We recommend keeping copies of all files and documents, as Doshor Publications cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
